 DETOX BREAKFAST SMOOTHIE BOWL

After the last beetroot smoothie bowl I thought it would be nice to experiment with other fruit and veggies. I made this with hot green tea (for its detoxing properties and weight loss benefits) as the base and added fruits and veggies to make it thicker. It was surprisingly delicious and creamy tasting. Smoothie bowls are the  perfect  warm comfort breakfast, I topped this with flaxseeds for my omega oils, sunflower and pumpkin seeds and some chopped cashews so yum!

INGREDIENTS
  • medium apple
  • 1 large carrots
  • 1 cup of  green tea water 
  • 1 celery stalk
  • 3 lemon slices
  • chopped ginger 
  • 5 chopped dates
  • handful of spinach

  • TOPPING // raisins almonds, roasted and raw pumpkin seeds sunflower seeds and flaxseeds 



  • INSTRUCTIONS
  1. In a blender combine the celery, carrot and green tea first. Blend until a smooth liquid. 
  2. Add the remainder of the base ingredients and blend again until creamy.
  3.  Pour into a bowl and garnish with seeds and nuts. 
  4. Eat with a spoon and enjoy :).
