Hot Breakfast SMOOTHIE BOWL

This is the perfect comfort breakfast, warm, thick, raw beetroot and pear smoothie bowl topped with crunchy nuts, seeds and dried fruit. This is so easy and you can make it with various combinations of fruits. I find the smoothie bowl more filling and I feel satiated for longer when I add a good amount of healthy fats like avocados, flaxseeds, nuts and seeds either in the smoothie or as a topping.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 large pear or apple
- 2 medium sized carrots
- ½ cup of hot water
- ½ a large beetroot
- 2 celery stalks
- ½ a lemon
- TOPPING // Chopped dates, almonds, roasted and raw pumpkin seeds sunflower seeds, flaxseeds and coconut flakes.
- INSTRUCTIONS
- In a blender combine the celery, beetroot and hot water first. Blend until a smooth liquid.
- Add the remainder of the base ingredients and blend again until creamy.
- Pour into a bowl and garnish with chopped dates, seeds and nuts.
- Eat with a spoon and enjoy :).
