LEGACY- What do want to be remembered for?

Hello lovelies hope you had a lovely weekend.  I had a pretty chilled weekend enjoying Spring in Oxford, it is beautiful I tell ya!

5 years ago today, my Father went to be with Jesus and it changed my life in ways I can't describe. I remembered one of the last conversations I had with him, I asked him what I should look for in a husband and he told me not to consider material things but to find a good man with dreams, hope and aspirations and make my decisions based on what was within. That was a game changer for me and the way I viewed relationships just wish he'd been here to meet my husband when he came along.

Memories of my father make me so happy and I am so glad I will meet him someday. In his absence I have grown to know God as my father and that has changed my view of God in a radical way. Sometimes I feel weird about not mourning my father instead being filled with joy whenever I talk about him or think of him; I know it is God's doing, he healed my broken heart and filled with joy.

Remembering my father today has made me think about my legacy and what I want to be remembered for when I am no longer on earth. We all strive for many things and get caught up in endless pursuits of
wealth, beauty, fame and power. These pursuits sets us up for jealousy and envy as we compare ourselves to people that we perceive are doing better and start competing with them thereby distracting ourselves from the things that really matter.

I have learnt in my few years on the planet that the greatest legacies are not material or superficial but investments in people around you through love, charity, forgiveness, hope and using your talents to make a difference in someone's life. So what would I like to be remembered for?  I would like to be remembered as someone that was filled with faith, wisdom, optimism and someone that spoke life changing words into people's life and circumstances. I bet this will change and evolve over time but right now this is how I want to be remembered.

How and what would you life to be remembered for?
