I had some leftover pink chiffon and navy blue Jersey fabric lying around and was inspired to make this very simple play/party dress for a gorgeous little girl and she loved the result!
I did not write a tutorial or take photos of the process as I did not know how it would turn out but now I wish I did. This dress was very easy to sew and you can recreate it by making a tube dress with the jersey and adding a layer of gathered chiffon at the waist it is that simple! I cut the chiffon before the selvage edge to avoid hemming (very lazy I know) but it worked for me. I also embellished the dress with some chiffon flowers ( there are lots of tutorials on you tube) and added straps with the jersey fabric. Is this simple or what?
