Hello peeps, hope you are having a great day :).

My apologies for the gimmicky and click bait-ey title....well is it click bait-ey if is it true? Well, you will need to get to the end of the post to find out :).

Anyhoo, I met up for coffee with a friend recently and she said how hard she was finding it to lose her baby weight especially after baby number 2, my sister had a second baby about 11 months ago and she said for the first time in her life she is struggling to drop the weight and all her attempts to diet and exercise is not yielding the result she was expecting.

My troubleshooting mind made it my life's goal to investigate this problem because I know so many women struggle with this and are constantly frustrated and eventually give up.

In the course of my research and investigation, I found 2 major culprits and I will be sharing some quick, easy and cheap solutions to the problem cos 'I got you'!. (Don't worry, I will not try to sell you anything in this post).

I really hate it well writers fill articles will fluff instead of just spilling the deets and I just realised I am doing just that. So without much ado, let's get to it.

  1. The major reason is your Hormones! Pregnancy does a lot to your hormones and even after birth a lot of pregnancy hormones stays in your body and causes your body to hold on the extra fat, water and weight to support your baby. Your body naturally flushes out excess hormones naturally but the older you are or the more babies you have had, makes your body hold on to these pesky hormones. That is why very young mothers find it easy to snap back post baby, what about celebrities in their 40ies how do they do it? Well a lot of them resort to surgery but the main trick/secret is they do a CLEANSE. Yes, this is so simple and many people try to over complicate things and sell you pills/herbs you don't need. Basically, by going on a mini cleanse post-baby, you help your body flush out the excess hormones floating around and with those hormones gone, you can see the necessary results.
So how do you cleanse your body of these excess pesky and frustration hormones? There are a plethora of ways to cleanse your body. A lot of celebrities do a part juice cleanse in the first few weeks post baby(hey victoria secret models/alien). But if you are walking around in your lingerie in front of the world it is absolutely unnecessary. The normal human approach is to
  1.  Fill your diet with a lot of fresh fruits, vegetables and as little fat as possible.
  2. Drink a lot of water- No long explanation needed here- drink up
  3. Sleep- This is a lot harder because you are caring for a baby or a few toddlers with makes sleep a luxury- Sleep is essential for regulating the hunger hormones and carb craving and lack of sufficient sleep will make you hungrier. The trick is taking as many naps as possible when you can, so when the baby sleeps try taking a nap. If you have to choose between sleep and chores, choose sleep and you will be in a better frame of mind to tackle the chores.
